Volunteering your time and skills is one of the greatest gifts you can give. Parents' involvement in their child's school contributes to student success. Volunteering at your child's school is an opportunity to grow in your faith life and become life-long followers of Christ in the modern world.
Parent volunteers are one of our schools' greatest resources. Our volunteers help organize events, raise money and assist teachers in classrooms. There are opportunities for our parents to volunteer on the school council and/or in the classroom. They help our schools achieve excellence, enhance educational experiences and plan for the future.
Parents can be elected to sit on the Durham Catholic Parent Involvement Committee. In this role, parents work as a team to make recommendations to our Board and Administrative team. This committee also provides parents with helpful resources and events throughout the school year.
One of our Board's regulatory committees is the Special Education Advisory Committee (SEAC). This committee provides advice on special education. SEAC is made up of Board Trustees and representatives of local associations that further the wellbeing of groups of exceptional children or adults.
